CE marking of glulam

CE marking of glulam is based on the harmonised standard NS-EN 14080 “Timber structures – Glued laminated timber - Requirements”.

Requirements for certification

NS-EN 14080 states that in order to CE mark glulam beams, conformity with system 1 must be documented. A notified body must perform the initial type testing, and the factory production control must be assessed. Treteknisk is a notified body.

Continuous surveillance shall be performed at least twice a year. The inspection includes evaluation of the quality documentation, evaluation of the production control and test results, registration of deviations and measures taken at deviations. If a company does not correct deviations in a satisfactory manner, the certificate can be revoked.
